Byte Ventures

A C=128 introduced me to BASIC in the late 80s, and the habit never wore off. Nearly four decades later I'm still chasing the same thing: software people find useful, enjoyable — ideally both.

Between 2015 and 2023 I co-founded WeHunt and ran it as CEO and lead developer. Starting from a project acquired from the Swedish Hunters' Association, we built it into Scandinavia's leading hunting platform and grew ARR roughly 30× along the way. The part I'm proudest of: in late 2018 I built a Connect IQ watch app that listened to Garmin handhelds over ANT+ and streamed dog positions into WeHunt, so every member of a hunting party could follow the dog live on their phone — not just the person holding the receiver. No other hunting app had done it. Open Air Group acquired us in 2021, and WeHunt was later merged with Tracker to form Natlink. I've written about the journey on my LinkedIn profile (in Swedish).

Today I run Byte Ventures, where my hands-on focus is consumer apps and subscription businesses. Lately a growing share of my time goes into agentic coding — most of it on Borg MCP, a local-first coordination layer that lets multiple AI coding agents work together on the same codebase, on your own machine.
